Peretti adventure continues ... Ampersand Flake in a 1973 Dunhill Root Briar 126 straight billiard. Wow, this is very nice. I can only remember two other straight Virginias I've had: Orlik GS, and Amphora Virginia -- both a long time ago. This generally reminds me of them. And it's reminding me to slow down, which I needed! 😻

Iced ☕ cream/no sugar -- ⭐ Gold Star Papua New Guinea.

Yesterday I trailered one of the horses up to "Land Between the Lakes" which is on the TN/KY border. It is protected land that contains many camp and picnic sites as well as some of the very best horse trails in the southeast US. For several hours we rode in some rough yet beautiful, terrain seeing the Fall colors in their fullest forms. The colors were just electric. That said, I did not get any photos. I have not found that cell phones can capture the beauty or do it justice.

Anyway, I am a bit tired today and while getting ready this morning for rain to move in, I have relaxed this afternoon. I had just a wee bit of Pegasus left so I got creative and mixed it with some Edward G Robinson and some Half n Half. I smoked it in a MM cob....... Sadly, it was not very good. Had a chemical and harsh taste to begin with which continued for rest of the bowl. Two facts, I have surmised, have come out of this endeavor

1) I do not have a future in the fine art of tobacco blending, and
2) I am glad that I used a cob as I would not want that to ghost any of my nicer briars.

Oh well, live and learn.....

Enjoyed five barbecue sandwiches and a bowl of baked beans lunch with an apple turnover for dessert. I'm smoking year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Gold Star Jamaican Estate Reserve, nest, is my drink. Norton the Nosey gave me a fair number of love bites and licks after I gave him a few cat treats. He was going to jump on my chair, but Sleepy Suzy was by my side, and he walked off, poor fella. He's on m'lady's lap now.

I only hit “ha ha” because that’s my kind of luck as well😉

This evening was SG Firedance Flake in one of dad’s favorites, A Royal Danish 988 billiard.

Hey I'm laughing, too (what else can ya do?). Here's to the lucky ones! :col: Good news: already found the replacement sink (i like it better, even) and will pick it up tomorrow. She wants new faucets, and also expect to find those over the weekend. There goes the 'toilet repair' cost to 20x! Oh well, I put the sink in 19 years ago almost to the week, and am at least still handy enough to do it again. You can bet I'm not going to make that mistake a second time!

I was still hungry so m'lady made me two open face ham, cheddar cheese, double egg sandwiches, and I'm near the first quarter of this bowl of year 2014 Astley’s No. 44 in a straight smooth brown pre-republic Peterson’s Sterling billiard 260 with a sterling silver band and a tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem. This pipe is from the estate of David Cuneo. Molly Danger came to the den, and hissed Norton the Nosey off m'lady's lap so she could be there. Norton's at my feet now.
