Way too much time in the office today, but it’s ok because after being on call tonight, I’m off until I go back on call the day after Thanksgiving and not scheduled back in office until December!

Listing this a few minutes early: year 2022 unreleased Sutliff Brown Virginia Flake in a 1920s medium bend smooth dark brown BBB Umbra bulldog with a tapered black vulcanite stem with an orific bit. Earlier today, I took a shower and Norton the Nosey jumped in, licked up some water, got wet, and jumped out when the water spray hit him. He did the same to m’lady. Dunno what it is about that cat and showers, but it’s surprising as cats generally avoid getting wet.

While talking on the phone with my son who’s in Nashville, had a bowl of Milan’s Carter Hall in a 7-point 2 star Lee Bulldesian with triangle shank and Pu’erh tea to drink.

Followed up with some Billy Budd (thanks @TubbyInTweed!) in a little Frank Medico jetstream-ish pipe and the remains of the tea. First time trying Billy Budd and I’ll be getting more of this. Fantastic!

So. wife says the guest bath toilet isn't refilling. Ok. I check it out, find the fill valve is the culprit, get a new one, intstall it, works great! Retrieving the lid that was over sink and OOPS. Me olde butterfingers drop it in the sink...and breaks the sink. @#$%&! Can't wait till she get's home. "Toilet is fixed, dear!" I'll her discover the tape that says "OOPS!"

Just got a new pipe today, a straight morta bulldog of unknown origin, only marking is a feather stamped on the underside. This pipe has an interesting smooth finish, sort of a knapped, almost faceted quality. Same with the stem, which I believe I can safely say is hand-cut. It is a very lightly used estate, the only way to tell is from the faint Latakia ghost that haunts it. It is very lightweight, so much so that I feel like weighing it later just so see. Excited to load it up with 08 Nightcap. If anyone knows who or what workshop made this pipe, let me know! This pipe is very intriguing, love the finish, very clever. A pipe made out of 1000 year old wood should look like this, quite the homage.
