Had an exciting day at the arena today with several riding lessons being given. I found time between them to get some mowing and chores done.
I had some Low Country Pee Dee in my new Kaywoodie 2010 pipe of the year, Yachtsman/Zulu. I had some coconut water to sip on along the way. I really like the way this big Kaywoodie smokes. Feels good in the hand and hangs nicely when clenched. It has a pretty large bowl and holds a good amount of tobacco.

I also wanted to take some photos of it along side of it's little brother, the Kaywoodie Yachtsman model 01. Here's a couple of shots so you can see the size difference.

Been at my desk all day and wife just gave the the news about the UPS plane crash. Just. Awful. I don't want to see any other news right now--going to read a book. :(

Riding lessons going on in full form at the arena.
I decided to have some Briarworks Down South (VaPer) in my Falcon stack.

@Choatecav Sure, the Kaywoodie is fine and all, but this is one I especially like - very, very cool! I'm so glad you eventually found the Falcon Chimney you were looking for. Gorgeous color, design, everything! 😻

Sutliff 1M in my aromatic pipe, a Savinelli Miele 641 KS smooth bent apple. For a long time, most English blends have tasted exactly the same to me. That is quickly becoming true for vanilla aromatics, but that's hardly a problem. 9/10

Bird report: White-crowned sparrow, Dark-eyed junco, California towhee, House finch, Chipping sparrow, Oak titmouse, California scrub-jay, American crow, Red-tailed hawk, Sharp-shinned hawk, Spotted towhee, Band-tailed pigeon, White-breasted nuthatch, Steller's jay, Northern flicker, and Western bluebird.

Man, that crash is so very, very tragic.... My wife is from Louisville and she is watching a local feed on what all is going on. It was full of fuel and just taking off. I hope @bluegrassbrian family and friends are all ok.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, cod and snow peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm smoking and reviewing C&D Baskerville (Wintertime Reserve 2025) in a 1960s Austrian meerschaum bent apple with a tapered yellow stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.

Sleepy Suzy was sleeping on m’lady’s chair when the skinny fella jumped up to lay down. Suzy woke up and a major hissing match ensued. The li’l fella jumped down and laid on the carpet in front of the entertainment center. When he saw that Suzy was sound asleep, he jumped up on the chair to snooze. If we keep him, Suzy will eventually settle down as she did when Abner the Eager and the others came into our lives. Molly Danger never will. Daisy the Feral Princess, Harry the Hairy and Tomato the Brave probably won’t settle down easy either.

As soon as Daisy and Tomato see him, they want out whether they’ve eaten or not. That’s why I have to put him on lock down. However, just a while ago, Harry and skinny boy touched noses and there was no hissing.
