Enjoyed a little low calorie snacking, and am smoking year 2013 Sutliff Dunhill Elizabethan Match in a 1982 smooth straight Dunhill Root Briar 31051 dublin with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Molly Danger is still in the den, and was very demanding about play time and food. She got both, of course. Sleepy Suzy got a little jealous, and I did the same with her. The ferals are outside. I'm hoping to get into reading soon.

Enjoyed a tasty Snap Dragon apple, and am smoking year 2020 D&R Penhooker Silver in a straight smooth brown undated pre-Republic Peterson Shamrock 263 Canadian with a nickel band and a tapered black p-lip stem. Taking a break from reading to check on the ferals.

Part way through this bowl of Wilke Gentry Royal Blend No. 2 in a black sandblast quarter bend undated Briarcraft (Dr. Grabow made) Wimbledon 810 author with a tapered black vulcanite stem. I'll end the day with this smoke. Fed my cats and all the ferals and the latter three went out after eating. Reading while this bowl lasts.

New job starts today. The hours are going to be weird compared to my last 20yrs of employment. I've always been working overnight or going in at 3/4am. The two shifts I'll be swapping between are 8a-6p or 11a-9p. Gives me a nice opportunity to enjoy a pipe with my coffee outside of the workplace but getting home at 6:30p or even 9:30p is going to be tough. Either way, thankful for the job and glad I didn't end up unemployed following the severance last week.

C&D Derringer in a Pete pre-republic 120.
Got the foaling pen all put together and worked into the paddock’s fence today. Now maybe I can start getting ready for my upcoming elk hunt.
Grateful every day.

Pen sure looks good, SB. Did you assemble it by yourself? I would imagine an extra set of hands would be helpful.

from the Heritage line. Aged Virginias with a touch of Oriental — smooth, naturally sweet, with notes of hay, bread, and dried fruit. Burns cool and clean. Some find it simple, others call it perfectly balanced. Personally, I really enjoy it — a calm, honest Virginia at its best.
