A third of a bowl left of early 2000s Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Going to be a busy day for a great many of us today. :)

Afternoon bowl of Telegraph Hill whilst my Kelpies rest from the days work. I find myself smoking a lot of this blend and it has a really delicious taste that I love, bonus that is ribbon cut too, no prep, just stuff it in and smoke it to the bottom.
Pipe is a Castello #33 virgin that's morphing with each smoke.

We owned Blue Heelers when I was growing up. Am I right to think that the Kelpie is to sheep management what the Heeler is to cattle? They look similar in build although Heelers are shorter of leg and broader chested. I really appreciate your photos of them, it reminds me in some ways of my early life on the farm.

Beautiful dogs!

We had snow and then an Indian Summer hit us last week and all the snow disappeared. Now it's dry and windy as fuck and getting colder this week. They're forecasting a high of -9 on Monday but it keeps getting pushed back. We'll see. I'm still cutting Greek oregano out of the back yard, even though it was covered in 6 inches of snow two weeks ago.
You haven't mentioned the great Manitoba weather adage yet, Winnipegger. "If you don't like the weather, wait 15 minutes." I truly believe it is the only place in Canada where you can have four seasons in one day.

Happy Thanksgiving to all our American members and guests!

After some discussion about the burn-out infesting my Savinelli yesterday, I decided to do some research about Water Glass as a fill and lining. I looked into our archived posts and got lots of useful information. I would like to add that I appreciate the encouragement I was given to look into it. Thank-you, all.

That being said, I gravity filled it with cubed VaPerique Crumble Kake from Sutliff and I'm smoking it! Have a wonderful holiday!

Morning all, simple smoke of PS cube cut in a Charles Towne Cobbler with a steaming mug of coffee to kick off Friday.

HRP&S not really. Kelpies can handle all livestock but cattle dogs obviously are built for short bursts and to "heel" cattle, which is to bite their lower leg to keep them moving. Kelpies are marathon runners with huge stamina and and attitude to match. My dogs would easily cover 30 to 40 miles when mustering stock, cattle dog won't do that.
