In other PAD news, I’d been waiting to hear about some trades and got a good bit more then expected and bought this Asteriou. I’ve been hearing great things about his work for a while. This is another Bo Nordh shape, a blasted sphinx with horn.

Lit up some Pegasus in a Rossi Billiard for tonight. About 1/4 of the way through this bowl. Fantastic smoke, I'm not sure why this isn't in my everyday rotation.Probably because my ADHD can't handle too much consistency lol.

Followed by a bowl of MacBaren Mixture Scottish, which has smoothed out considerably with just a few weeks in the jar. Could almost use a dash of DFK but really an easygoing, all-day smoke.

Evening Flake in the 6 panel bent lattice meer, with some Bib & Tucker 10 year Tennessee bourbon lugged back from my visit to Franklin. Yep, tastes like whiskey! And I have to add, the Evening Flake just keeps getting better...

Neglected to take a photo, but I've been trying to develop a taste for C&D Three Friars, most recently with a bowl from a Dutch Amphora pipe I snagged on eBay. I certainly get the grassiness from the Virginia, but the burley notes have been lost on me.

Not an unpleasant tobacco and a welcome change from my usual English blends, but a bit underwhelming. I'm aging a tin of Irish Flake that I'm hoping I like a bit more.

That's the way to do it, man. Try it, taste it, consider it. I'm finding that A LOT of the blends that I found to be 'meh' at first taste have really come alive after being put aside for a few months (in the tin or jar). On the other hand, some that knock my socks off with first bowl from a new tin...i find with some age aren't as dynamite for me if left in the tin (will start jarring these asap when i come across them).
