Relaxing after a wonderful salad, chicken legs and green beans dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm smoking the last of this jar of year 2020 Sam Gawith Best Brown Flake in a straight smooth brown 1933-1945 Comoy’s patent Grand Slam 159 *4 apple with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.

I am overburdened with work and personal matters that need to be dealt with, so I am taking an extended forum break from all forums except for my Facebook page because I have to greatly reduce my internet time for a while. I'll peek in when I have the chance. All of us are in good shape, but you guys know that life gets in the way of life sometimes.

GH&Co. Dark Twist Maple in my Piersel Dublin. This has aged exceptionally well. I sliced it about 4 years ago and it's mostly been sleeping in its jar. Now it's in Mylar. I almost would swear there's a wisp of Latakia in it but that's gotta be the Dark Fired. This stuff never wanted to stay lit. It's still pretty fire resistant and I tried drying this for days and days before jarring it. Seems like it needs even more dry time, but damn does this taste good.

Enjoying this Chinook sweeping across the prairies this week. It's like Springtime in mid-November.

Neglected to take a photo, but I've been trying to develop a taste for C&D Three Friars, most recently with a bowl from a Dutch Amphora pipe I snagged on eBay. I certainly get the grassiness from the Virginia, but the burley notes have been lost on me.

Not an unpleasant tobacco and a welcome change from my usual English blends, but a bit underwhelming. I'm aging a tin of Irish Flake that I'm hoping I like a bit more.

Do you love that blend? I have some that’s been in a jar for about 10 months; it was “meh” the first three bowls.
