Going to have Samuel Gawith Full Virginia Flake in an Austrian Meerschaum Bent Billiard with Amber stem (possibly from 1939, or even earlier given the kind of stem), originally sold by the pipe shop founded by Josef Ostermann, a woodcarver from Tirol, in 1811. The shop was located at Am Hof 5, in Vienna, Austria. Sadly, the shop closed in 2016. Many thanks to @ashdigger for this wonderful pipe.

Enjoyed a big, tasty golden delicious apple, and am smoking year 2020 D&R Raccoon’s Delight in my very reliable smooth straight post-1938 pre-Republic Peterson Sterling Canadian 263 with a sterling silver band and a tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem. Off to work I go.

Enjoyed a tasty Jazz apple, and am a third of the way through this bowl of C&D Virginia Gentleman in a straight smooth dark brown pre-1940s Comoy’s Jost’s Olde English Supreme J299 billiard with a black tapered vulcanite stem. Working and listening to The Adventures of Harry Nile on the XM.

Almost half way through this bowl of Watch City Original Crumb Cut in a 1950s-60s straight smooth brown Bertram 07 octagonal paneled billiard with a square shank and a tapered black vulcanite stem. Fed Suzy and Molly as well as Daisy the Feral Princess and Shy Stripesy. Time for me to catch up on the forums.

The last of my cut up Latakia Virginia Bright in a clay, gotta cut up much more of that leaf soon because I can't stop smoking it. Having a nourishing Störtebeker (a very local pirate in the 14th century) black beer for a little celebration.

When you soak lemon peels in mead and spray that on Virginia leaves that you leave under pressure for a week you get this: (my camera didn't like that external light source, hence the stripes)

Quite a change in color but I'm very happy with them.

Left to dry a little in the air, at least over night. I'll have to look up some facts about stoving.

Have a great day, folks! puffy
