Finished off the remainder of a bowl of Lane Ltd. BCA I had partially smoked Tuesday evening after dining at a friend's house. The room note certainly went over well, and the balance of this bowl smoked beautifully in my Savinelli Tortuga 614 faux Hungarian. No birds to speak of at the moment. Speaking of which, got a nice organic nine-pounder at Whole Foods yesterday, which will be perfect for wifey and I for many meals, not to mention a nice turkey noodle soup with the carcass, as is my tradition. Nothing goes to waste under my watch!

Happy smokes everyone.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, barramundi and snow peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm almost half way through this bowl of year 2019 G&H Dark Flake Unscented in a small smooth straight dark brown circa-1950s Lane Commodore paneled pot with a black tapered vulcanite stem. First time smoking this pipe. The sugar crystals on many of the flakes are beautiful. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

My new $16 chinese Lumberman arrived today! (Road Town). After sanding out most of the carbon bowl liner and swabbing it all out with Everclear, let it dry and got it ready to smoke. Break in bowl was my first ever bowl of Haunted Bookshelf. It was nice! After a bit and a wipe down, gave it a second bowl of Boswell's Northwoods... In the hand, the pipe is darker than the full sun closeup. View is from the side yard flagpole. It's a good Trad pipe! Smoked great. Wondering what it will end up gravitating to for a go-to blend/pipe pair. Perhaps some kind of mix with Haunted Bookshop and a Lat-heavy english... ('Haunted Moor?' 'Ghost of Mary, Queen of Scots?') ? Gonna have to work on that. ;-)

Thanks Dan. I don't usually smoke in public, although I don't "hide". I just prefer to smoke either on a break my walks, or in the backyard at home. My nephew also smokes a pipe and says he thinks I'm his "cool aunt". Haha! We also both love archery. So we get along pretty good. The rest of my family think any smoking is "gross". Oh well. My feelings are tougher than that.
Hope you feel better soon.
