Drying a rubbed out flake of Peterson University Flake on a paper towel, to be smoked sometime in April. Kidding...later today, but this blend does need unexpectedly excessive dry time for me; about three hours seems to do the trick. This will go in my Stefano Santambrogio bent Rhodesian. Seems I need more time to perfect my technique with the deep-bowled Barling I got earlier this month. Which is just fine; I enjoy a good challenge!

Bird report: Oak titmouse, California scrub-jay, Steller's jay, White-crowned sparrow, Chipping sparrow, House finch, Dark-eyed junco, and California towhee. The mercury read 27F this morning when I went out to feed the aforementioned people, and the sun was already up. I think I need to invest in some long underwear...

After kind of knowing but being to lazy to figure it out, I finally cleaned out my coffee grinder earlier today and found out the calibration for the grind settings had been messed up and so the grind on the coffee I had earlier and am still enjoying out of my little thermos looked familiar all of a sudden, lol, and coffee back to the way it should be. Like my pipes - back to basics! This Peterson 2022 Christmas No. 68 with Wilke 71st Street will soon get me to game time.

Good night. We started smoking the latakia blend, a gift from Telescopios. Since I could not smoke the aromatic blend before, it is still wet enough to be able to smoke it. I will leave it overnight, and tomorrow at noon I will be able to smoke this delicious blend. At the moment I am enjoying this delicious blend. The first third is incredibly tasty, balanced and very satisfying, with a very nice room note. You taste the latakia, while enjoying a sweet aroma.chocolate, vanilla, with that rich aroma of latakia. Smoking slow and easy, in a MM Diplomat bent pipe. Few lights, burns well, fairly thick, consistent smoke. Wow! Good stuff, yes sir.

Today, started by finishing the last of a block of Peterson 3P's in a small Tilshead smooth Dublin with flattened shank and matching tapered stem size 3-4. Still doing Hurricane Nicole cleanup.
