Autumn Evening

The ABF bowl this morning was the best bowl of it I've had thus far. Paired extremely well with a dark Indonesian coffee. I'm now having my first smoke of Autumn evening. Decided to to stick an ounce of it on my order of on sale C & D items at smokingpipes.com. So far, so good.

This same order also marked a milestone for me. I can now say I've got pounds (plural) of one blend in the "cellar." Star of the East Flake. I believe I'm up to 3 lbs of it.

Now smoking year 2014 HU Directors Cut in a smooth straight Lane era Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad.

I've never tried the grape.How does it taste? Seriously.

Slightly sweetish, traces of cavendish. To me, at least. It's not as bad as the name might make you think, but not in the same league as, say, Esoterica, Frigate, old 3 Nuns, or EGR, when it comes to an everyday blend.
