About a third of the way through this bowl of Wilke Rum and Maple in a straight smooth with a tobacco leaf carving on the bottom left, dark brown 1980s Sir Brent pot with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Watching Mad Dog Russo.
LJP Tashkent in a MM Country Gentleman. This pipe is over 20 years old. Inch and 5/8 OD diameter bowl and no separation of the kernels. Ink stamped base, not a sticker. I have newer cobs that are falling a part. The newer cobs just don't have the heft they used to and yes I know they vary from year to year.
Ending the first pipe of the day, Sir John’s Flake in an early 1/8th bent Upshall Dublin. I think this is the first time I’ve posted this pipe here, amazing smoker.
Just finished smoking Watch City Virginia/Oriental Prototype 4 in a 1978 smooth dark brown Danish Special medium bend tapered egg with a black vulcanite tapered stem.
Now smoking Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation Evening Flake in a 2002 smooth natural straight silver banded Ardor Venere Extra Fatta A Mano Maigret billiard, signed by Dorelio Rovera and a black acrylic tapered stem. Been a very busy day.
On to a prerestoration pipe smoke to see what ghosts I will be chasing. Got a Tinder Box Calabash styled by Lorenzo that I stuffed some C&D Pegasus into and so far it’s smoking well.
Grabbed one of my favorites, a Charatan’s made Ben Wade Special Collection pipe I won for $12.50 as the only bidder early one morning. Smokes better than most of my Charatan’s. Smoking some SG FVF.
Jim, this one's for you -- the new Karl Erik came in today. Very nice bent bull/rhodesian freehand with gorgeous flame grain. Exhausted Rooster's the leaf.
Smoking Elizabethan Mixture into my riviera Grabow with green tea , i smoked like 3 bowl of Stonehenge Flake with into that pipe and the lakeland like essence ghost it (i can’t imagine with Ennerdale).
Now smoking year 2016 D&R Three Sails in a smooth straight late 1970s Charatan Special 4148DC Reg. No. 203573 pot with a black double comfort vulcanite stem. Time to do another set of walks.
