Heading outside in the cool pre dawn for the second time with a pipe to smoke as I walk around the neighborhood I live in with no moon, and just lamp posts in front of condo bldgs and streetlights every 150' or so...first trip out I took my straight smooth MasterCraft apple and smoked my current mix of primarily Daughter's and Ryan blends with some small adds.
Burley, Va, and Perique is the base.
Going out now with a 5 yr old MM Pride second that I smoke a LOT. Same mix.
I walked at least a mile the first time out, and that was before coffee.
I carry a slender piece of bamboo (4' long) just in case one of the recently sighted black bears shows up and I need to poke him in the eye or something. Also, just helps me keep cadence.
