Dunhill Nightcap in the old Parker Jockey Club bent dublin. I hate to say it, and everyone is going to blow a fuse, but I just don't get it. I keep coming back to it trying it in different pipes, for the past several years, but... it's... just ok. I mean, it's not bad, just not anything special. It's not latakia forward and it's not strong. Maybe it's just this particular batch? I don't know but there are SO many latakia blends that draw me in, Lancer Slices, Quiet Nights, Star of the East, 10 Russians, all 3 Stokkebye English blends, Father Dempsey, Blackpoint, Abingdon, HH Latakia flake, British Woods, Balkan Supreme, etc., but Nightcap? It's just... meh.

Let the firestorm begin!

I'm with you there. Having smoked Nightcap and then Vintage Syrian yesterday, I was underwhelmed by the former. Even as someone who finds all English blends unidimensional and meh, Vintage Syrian was sooo much less meh than Nightcap. Much, much nicer room note too.

Did some snacking and am almost half way through this bowl of year 2016 Anniversary Kake in a smooth 1979 Chippendale (Charatan second) Rhodesian 49 with a black vulcanite saddle stem. A cup of Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.
