A sad day: Remembrance Sunday, recalling the war dead and damaged, and Wales lost to Fiji 24-19. Tried Cabbie's Mixture in an Avon "Yorkist" half-bent acorn, with a tissane of nettle, fennel and peppermint to take away the taste, which to me is about as pleasurable as sucking a freshly-peeled horesradish root might be. God knows I have tried to like this blend in several pipes, but it just isn't working for me. Anyone in UK wants about 4 rolls/coins I've got left, PM me and they're yours.

A Savinelli Canadian for my first bowl of Watch City Spiked Spumoni. So far, so good. It’s not goopy, and as aromatics go the toppings are judiciously applied. The Perique gives it a nice punch.

Just had a bowl of home-stoved Sutliff English Oriental in a rusticated Canadian. I had stoved this in my instapot last month and finally got around to opening the jar today - it was slightly sweeter and burned very well. I like the standard blend out of the bag and it’s inexpensive by the pound but rarely if ever is discussed, so this may be one I stock up on before any purge to the lineup happens in light of the STG news.

Just finished smoking pre-2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Fed all the ferals while m'lady fed our cats. Did some house stuff, too.

Hope you have another trip this year. We open on the 15th for two points in Central BC, and a 4 day trophy season for big bucks I think on Dec 1 - won't be going this year. Knees won't take the kind of walking any more. You ain't old enough yet to know lol. My next deer hunt'll be from the front porch of a farmer friend who baits them with hay stacks in his fields. THAT"S getting old! Thanks for posting these shots. I enjoyed them! - a bit of a nostalic doppelganger there, too - did some antelope hunting in Wyoming many years ago. Loved that terrain.
