Wife had to go to an event, I'm home alone with the dogs on the first real spring weather Sunday we have had!

In support of @Streeper541 (and a nod to @scloyd on the pipe as well) enjoying my first bowl in The Pipe Nook Peterson Phoenix 221 - been thinking of dogs in my life a lot this week, particularly our 15 year old campaigner who is lying beside me, the two great dogs at different parts in my life I've lost and the squirrel of a soon to be 5 setter that is looking at me and planning mischief to let loose on the missus when she gets back, lol.

All thoughts are still with Chris and all those who have had the privilege of sharing life with good dogs. So also a pic of the goofball his first day home July of '17, 'cause puppy pics warm the heart. As the saying and a pretty good book go, "The Lord God Made Them All."

Happy Sunday!

First pipe after recovering from Covid. It appears my cravings for mediocre cherry flavored tobacco have not yet subsided. Captain Black Cherry in a cob.
@GabrielSTB Hope you're feeling better!
I've smoked a few packets of Captain Black Cherry in my clay pipes; I was introduced to it when a re-enactor I met gave me some. Never heard of it before.
@condorlover1 calls it Captain Crap:)

Was almost through the earlier bowl when I posted - I like the Sweet Killarney. I had bits of Wilke No. 515 and some Wilke Butterscotch Cavendish still sitting in the little bowls on the counter from earlier in the week, so well dried (!) and between them there was enough for a bowl in my Peterson Sherlock Holmes Rathbone. It is the first pipe I ever smoked. Not a bad combination of "scraps"!

Getting ready to dive into the second book in the Creasy series by A.J. Quinnell - "The Perfect Kill".

It's still a great Sunday!
