We enjoyed brunch at a restaurant named The Village Tavern. It is located in Reynolda Village, on the former estate of R.J. Reynolds. The village consists of buildings that housed servant quarters, agricultural buildings, dairy farm, etc. The Manor itself is now an art museum and hosts tours of Reynolda. It always feels like stepping back in time every time we visit.
So, after a nap ( coffee with bourbon cream and 2 tasty Bloody Mary’s before the meal will make your eyelids heavy), I’m lounging on the porch with Carolina Red Flake w/ perique in a MM Kingston Judge, and a tall glass of ice water. Enjoy what’s left of the weekend, all. Cheers!
