Preparing to smoke a bowl of bayou morning in a Savinelli. Like a child, the shipment arrived today so time to dig in.
Now smoking Hearth & Home Marquee Black House 10th Anniversary in a 2003 URAL full bend big bowl egg shaped Lattice meer with a black acrylic saddle stem. Hope to finish the review with this smoke.

I repaired this Paykoc Meerschaum Bulldog pipe today. There are two mistakes, one made knowingly and one unknowingly). I am very happy with the results and the draw is better than earlier - Smoking some GL Pease Chelsea Morning from October 2011
Mistake one - I could not find a straight stem, so I chose a bent one. I quite like the eccentricity
Mistake 2 - I fitted a 15 mm stem to a 16 mm shank so there is some gap. (I measured 15 mm and ordered a 15 mm stem, either I was off by a mm, or seller sent me the wrong stem). This also adds to the character of the pipe.

A few bowls in today...just finished some Newminster 400 in a Meerschaum, moving onto some PS Luxury Navy Flake. Excited to have just booked a couple solo guitar gigs at some outdoor cigar lounge events over the summer ...finally a gig where I can smoke my pipe!

A quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2014 Astley’s No. 44 in a smooth slight bend dark brown 1940s-1950s Comoy’s Blue Riband 228C prince with a tapered black vulcanite stem. This should get me to dinner time.
