Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am smoking Fribourg & Treyer Vintage in a 2015 Ryan Alden quarter bend burgundy sandblasted Queen of Hearts freehand with a black acrylic saddle stem.

New mix: base is Sutliff Aged Red VA, added in some D&R 3 Sails, (that stuff is like lamb's wool, and you have to card it to get it mixed, with your fingers), some Sutlliff stoved VA, and some Sutliff blending perique, ribbon cut.
Like all freshly mixed 'blends', the flavors meld with time, however, these here flavors are just fine already in my Butz Choquin 1413 Straight, smooth, saddle stemmed Dublin.

Dipping into my Maltese Falcon stash. This somehow got lost in the shuffle as it’s from 2011. I don’t usually leave English blends that long, try to smoke them at the 2-4 yr range, this just got misplaced somehow.

Thanks Dan, I think my GF found the fabric in a charity shop, it’s the seat of a teak Art Deco piano stool affair that doubles as place to stash the books I’m reading.

I love that pipe, I still think it has the profile of a hatchet.
