Today I opened my 'special tin' of Marlin Flake. I've had it on my shelf for over 3 years and it had some age on it when I got it from another forum member is a 'deal' I could not refuse.

I admit that I've dropped some of the crumbs from my drying sheet into a partially burnt bowl of burley/va in my Dunhill 656 1/2 bent shell from 1954.

The tin note on this blend after this length of time is heavenly. The rich 'stewed fruit' and sweet silage type thing that you always seem to have trouble pinning down, but that speaks to your olfactory of great things to come.

Why today? I'm 70! That's why.

Love the Medico Piff!
Happy Memorial Day to all. Waking up with McClelland Dominican Glory in a Castello virgin billiard with silver hawk band. Strong coffee. It's lightly raining, beautiful.
