Back home after a fun evening with old friends. Because we had to wait an hour before being seated, I had a chance to smoke Heine's Blend in the second pipe I ever bought ($2.49), a 1974 three quarter bend black sandblast etched Dr. Grabow Omega. Afterwards, a few of us stood in the parking lot and chatted. I got in a bowl of Solani 131 in a 1978 smooth full bend Dr. Grabow Omega. Now, I'm home and it's time for a drink and a new smoke.

This is another HIT from C&D; If you like Burley as it is burley-based blend; A quick vent'in about those that post on TR.com; Please don't screw a blend's ratings by trying blends you "know" you don't care for and then give them a 1-star rating
it cracks me up...this one has 5-5-Star ratings and then 2-1-star ratings on it :crazy:

The second in our working man series. Lunchtime Blues is a burley based blend with Virginias and a touch of Orientals. A perfect pick-me-up to get you through those long mid day doldrums.
1-star ratings; I don't like Burley blends and other was typical unrefined and harsh c&d tobacco
So my question to these folks; 1-Why are you smoking burley-based blends if you "don't care for burley-based blends and 2-Don't care for C&D blends, why are you smoking them????????????????????????????????????/
Just an FYI for new piper's out there using TR.com to get info, be mindful of the avg. ratings as reviewers like this screw them all up.
Now my taste for blends are all over the map; Really enjoy Dunhill Flake, Solani blends, SG, MC, C&D, MB ODF, Wessex, GL Pease, etc.; Burley, Lats, Straight Vs, VaBurs, VaPers, etc.
So to end this rant ;-) and my point of the story; to new/old piper's looking for reviews or questions on blends; come over to pipesmagazine.com and ask us ;-) esp. members with handles like TheSmokinDragon 8)
