I don't normally smoke a brand new pipe back to back but Blackpoint was a pretty dry burn so I decided why not... Now smoking C&D Founding Fathers for the first time and, oh my goodness is this one a keeper! 320 is smoking like a champ and this blend has great flavor. This might have just become one of my top ten aromatics, if not top five. Definitely ordering more of this one!1000000694.jpg

Always love when you post this little Comoys- my kinda pipe!
Thanks, man. I coveted that pipe for quite a while, never expecting to really own it. Great looker, great smoker. Btw, I got the little white dots off the pipe when I got it, but I'm using the photo that the original owner used because I couldn't take a photo as good as that one.

Heavenly Smoke, Part 2
27 Mar 2025a.jpg

This is the second smoke on both of these two pipes. I started them yesterday. I got to smoke the rest of both today (my modified versions of Three Nuns in the Kaywoodie, and Three Friars in the Grabow). Every bit as nice as yesterday!

Pipes are so much less expensive to smoke than cigars I normally dump whatever I don’t smoke after every session, but I’ll have to reconsider that. For a 60 and 70 year old pair of drug store pipes, these guys still look and smoke great.

Enjoying a stress reliever bowl of Quiet Nights in a Falcon

For a month I’ve been working on a project to upgrade some infrastructure, and today was finally the day to try it out. I was going to be done by 6:00 and then have a nice pipe. Instead, the last EKS node group upgrade kept failing with a PodEvictionFailure (if you know what I’m talking about, you have my sympathy), and I fought with it until giving up at 9:00. I guess I’ll finish it up tomorrow instead.

Meanwhile, I was hoping for a bit more kick in the flavor department, so I’m following up with some Kendal #7. I tried some last night, and I can easily see this one climbing to my top 10.
