Just a city park (technically a retention that fills with stormwater).

Still rocking the J07, have I mentioned how tasty I think SG Kendal Plug (unsliced BBF) is?

Did the Snus can give any of the mint flavor to the backky? I got an oodle of those tins and never thought about using one to carry a bit of backky around for the daily smoke.

Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and am smoking year 2012 Carter Hall in a black rusticated medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY 4AB No. 437/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Have one pipe getting the salt and alcohol, and am going to do two more, one of which has the bowl mostly reamed. Tomato the Brave was chirping at the back door, so he's in and eating. The other ferals are snoozin' in one place or another outside.

Last smoke of the day is first production Watch City English Ernie-ental in a straight dark brown and tan rusticated Peterson 2023 Saint Patrick’s Day 264 Canadian with an Irish flag colored ferrule and tapered black acrylic stem. Have two pipes getting the salt and alcohol treatment. I'm working on the third one, and then I'll rest from all the scraping and scrubbing. Well, Sleepy Suzy wants to eat, so she gets priority. :)

The description tag varies with some people, and I've even seen a company or two not make a distinction. I certainly do know the difference between bulldogs and Rhodesians, though. I went with what the maker said, and just never gave it any thought. The shank is ovular, not round, and I think I have to agree with you, and not the carver, so I'll change the description. Thanks for pointing that out.
Mr JimInks, thanks for your comments. I was wondering if I had missed something and was trying to learn something new from those like you with more knowledge and experience than I have. Thanks for your wonderful pipe pics and descriptions. We all enjoy them!

I wipe them out with Everclear and let them air out until I can’t smell anything. I’ve been using the same seven or eight tins for over a year now to carry (usually) four different blends i lunchbox to choose from through the week.

Detroit
Mac Baren Mixture in a shop brand billiard from Watkins' Corner, which was one of the little newsstand/smoke shop places that downtown office buildings used to have. I bought this pipe sometime in the mid-1970s. I think the shop was in the Buhl Building in downtown Detroit, but I wouldn't want to bet more than a nickel on that.

an afternoon smoke of 2020 Erinmore Flakes in a Stanwell Straight Grain model 98 short Lovat shape , + Orange flavored soda pop to accompany, yesterday when I was having this very same tobacco it was rather unpleasant and harsh tasting experience due to excessive drying time, apparently this tobacco shouldn't be smoked in too dry condition, yet this is one of the slowest burning flakes I have had, no bite , smooth and satisfyingCIMG1222.JPG
