Half way through this bowl of year 2020 Watch City Original Crumb Cut in a 1950s-60s straight smooth brown Bertram 07 octagonal paneled billiard with a square shank and a tapered black vulcanite stem. Been cleaning estate pipes. Two are getting their third salt and alcohol treatment after more scrubbing. Four others are in the beginning stages of carbon removal. Sleepy Suzy is by my side. Molly Danger is on m'lady's lap. The ferals are outside.

Celebrated a narrow Scrabble victory over wifey (despite only getting one high-point letter and a frickin' endless stream of vowels) with a first-time try of Mac Baren Virginia #1 in a Peterson Irish Harp 80s sandblasted bulldog. Also the first time smoking my dedicated straight VA pipe in quite a while. I took the "puff lightly and slowly" warnings seriously, and was rewarded with an intact tongue. Nice blend, although my cellar is so replete with other VAs that I will probably end up passing on this one ultimately. 8/10

Bird report: Dark-eyed junco, White-crowned sparrow, Golden-crowned sparrow, Chipping sparrow, House finch, Western bluebird, American crow, Red-tailed hawk, Northern flicker, Mountain chickadee, White-breasted nuthatch, Hairy woodpecker, and American robin.

Going to watch Rio Bravo (1959) tonight, one of my favorite westerns. Be well everyone!

I've passed the half way mark of this bowl of year 2017 Esoterica Dorchester in a straight smooth dark brown octagonal paneled mid-60s-early 70s Corporate Era Barling 4945 London England T.V.F. billiard with a square shank and black tapered square stem. This pipe is from the estate of David Cuneo. Fed Daisy the Feral Princess and Tomato the Brave. Harry the Hairy ate earlier. No Abner the Eager today.

Almost a third of the way through this bowl of year 2014 Esoterica Tilbury in a straight smooth Danish gold straight grain undated W.O. Larsen Hand Made in Denmark dublin with a tapered black vulcanite stem. This pipe is from the estate of David Cuneo. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Fed Sleepy Suzy and Molly Danger, who also required extra attention from yours truly.

I feel, as if I have been kicked like a fresh cauliflower. Still no smoking and no alcoholic beverages. Just reading and resting. And a few cocktails of pills. But happy to see fellow members on the forum, smoking and enjoying their favorite tobaccos. I wish you a happy Saturday. God bless you.View attachment 382096
Hope you feel better soon, man!
