When I first smoked a pipe in the 1970-1980s, I smoked indoors, almost exclusively. My wife didn't complain, unlike today. I wonder if my smoking mainly OTC blends like Mixture No 79, Amphora and Borkum Riff then had anything to do with her acceptance. These days OTCs are a very small part of my tobacco rotation.

@mso489 - I too am part of the anti-ATM brigade. I tell the ever-dwindling number of tellers at my local bank branch that I am trying to preserve their jobs by my insistence on personal interaction.

Some years ago when one of my sons was backpacking in Europe, I wanted to send him some money as a Xmas present. I was flabbergasted when I was told at his bank that they did not accept cash at that bank. Yes, all the bank personnel were in their 20s-30s - part of the cashless generation ?

Add me to the group. I refuse to do any banking online. The tellers at the bank know me by name.

About a third of a bowl left of year 2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Couldn't sleep, and the thunderstorms didn't help, the loud mouths!

Zero degrees Fahrenheit, sweetie is out of town, time to kill before Iowa vs. resurgent Indiana at "home" for them (yikes) so . . . believe I'll just enjoy a little "breakfast" indoors. Post-war Peterson Sterling 999 lovingly restored by @ssjones with some Sutliff Vanilla Custard. Yes, that was a mocha, but now drinking regular Iron Bean Coffee in my school colors mug they "convinced" me to buy (just took one email!) - @Streeper541 is their advocate on here and they roast good beans! Edison Lighthouse Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes) just started playing on the stereo - what could be better!

Pipe and tobacco for today. Where the first impressions weren't as great this gets better and better by the week airing it out more. Flakes where dry enough to fold and stuff, the burn rate is amazing.
