For the first time, again, in over a year, mostly due to social distancing etc., I've had a smoking buddy for the past few days. One of my brothers came to visit and brought along some of the tobacco I'd gifted him recently, but hadn't ever tried myself. (I have pretty much got him converted from cigs now after a few years of constant cajoling, enthusiastic reviews, gifted pipes and paraphernalia, and whatever I could)
He brought some of the Molto Dolce I'd sent, and some RLP6. He likes the 1Q and enjoyed these also.
I'd started him off a little stoutly, with stuff like Picayune and other perique blends because he'd been on the cigs, but he still inhales often so the softer stuff is more to his liking, I guess. He's learning though!

Tonight I’m smoking my Von Erck pipe for the first time. I like to smoke a artisan pipes with the artisans favorite tobacco for the first time but, seeing I don’t have any 5100, I’m going to have to settle for Mac Barens Virginia Flake.
