@Laurent , I'm currently on #13 and I started about a year ago with a Dr. Brogg kit pipe and then I made a few of the Compass style pokers with metal stems and then I bought a lathe last month and started buying briar and making them myself. I don't make the stems, I purchase those and finish work them.

Dude! You’re off to a great start in so little time. Pipes look awesome.
