Sam Gawith RB Plug in an Aristocrat Zulu. This plug is damn good, much better than I thought! It has a cinnamon ginger bread tin smell and smoke is slightly spicy. Hella impressed.
Nightcap in a Peterson's Dracula 999. Listening to Frank Sinatra, as the witching hour approaches, booze, romance & tying the knot, no comment on sex, drugs & rock & roll. ????
Part way through this bowl of 1990s Walnut in a 1990s smooth briar calabash shaped Butz-Choquin Maitre Pipier JR Fait Main with a horn ferrule and a black vulcanite stem. Have enough left for one more bowl. This will get me to dinner time.
With my main interest being antique clays and briars this was only the second modern pipe I ever bought and the first and only pipe I ever bought abroad while on holiday in the S. of France in 1978 - S.T. Dupont de Paris / Davidoff SCOTTISH MIX:-
Enjoyed a wonderful salad and spaghetti and meatballs dinner, and am almost half way through this bowl of Wilke Lizzie Blood Virginia in a straight 1960s Lane era Charatan black with burgundy undertone sandblasted billiard 420 with a black vulcanite tapered stem. Going back to work now.
After being sick for weeks I had to have a bit of a smoke fest to kick off March Meerschaum Madness. HU Indaba in a Big ol’ Tekin Lattice Tomato. Then some Rattray’s Red Rapparee in a Muhsin Latticed Demi-Churchwarden Calabash. Then a little comfort smoke with Escudo in a wee little Scott’s Pipes Burner Blasted Tomato. A fine afternoon.
