Had a tasty light meal, and am a quarter of the way through this bowl of Wilke No. 111 in a smooth medium bend post-WW2 Pre-Republic Peterson Shamrock Killarney 9BC with a sterling silver band and a black vulcanite p-lip stem.
Now smoking Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a very much appreciated 1979 brown, slight bend grain etched flat front Stanwell Rego 969-48 (09) with a black vulcanite saddle stem.
The family took me out to dinner for my birthday. Started with a Bombay Sapphire Martini, up, cold, with a twist. I had a New York Strip (that still moo-ed a bit when I cut into it). Fabulous, with a nice Cabernet. Key Lime pie for dessert.
Finished the evening with a bowl of Samovar in this 1891 A.D.P. pipe (n.b. Sherlock Holmes "Silver Blaze" readers).
A quarter of the way through this bowl of Wilke Lizzie Blood Virginia in a 2003 medium bent straight grain military mount Two dot 2 P. Ardor Venere Extra Bucaneve signed by Dorelio Rovera with a silver ferrule and a black acrylic stem.
Condor Long Cut in a H. Cor Meer bent billiard with sterling silver military mounting and blood red swirled acrylic stem paired with a fresh ground Guatemalan roast ️. This tobacco is a favorite and the pipe is a workhorse that has been recently neglected.
HU The Swan in a Morgan Blackjack Bulldog. Initially the Latakia was putting me off.. but now revisiting after 6 months it REALLY grows on me! Recommended addition to your next Estervals order.
A third of the way through my last smoke of the day, which is Sutliff Burley Delight #212 in a three quarter bend 1983 Jobey Danski 2 straight grain freehand rough top sitter with a pearl amber acrylic stem.
Good Morning pipe people! Its 5.52 AM and I've been up for an hour, taken my morning aspirin and indulged in my daily ablutions. Its time for coffee and a morning bowl. To start my day off I have decided to do something different and engage in a bowl of Mick McQuaid Plug in this travel meerschaum 'cutty' from the 19th century. Have a good day!
Enjoying GL Pease Abingdon 2010 in a Comoy’s Pebble Grain prince. The Latakia has definitely softened in this, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. I should smoke this more often.️
