I cannot see my way into becoming a 'tin man'. I smoke bulk blends, mostly from C&D in the last 3 months or so.

With a sale a Smoking Pipes dot com of 15% off of C&D bulks, I decided to bring in some of their 'blending' type tobaccos. (enough to include free shipping)

Right now, I've got some of my first mix from that batch. All these tobaccos are very nice in their own right, and you COULD smoke most of them w/o any mix.

1 part VA flake

1 part Dark Burley

1 part Cavendis Cut Burley

1/2 part Latakia

1/4 part Izmir

It tastes moderately strong in Nic. The 'spicey' adds are not anywhere near to up front, and it seems to be a smooth mix of VA and Burley. Got some in a cob right now.

All except for the Lat was under 20$ a pound. It's really nice tobacco.

Wow, that sounds great. I've made some mixes of this nature in the past. I tend to like using the Dark Burley as well, but it certainly needs some other Burley to mellow it just a bit.
Today I'm smoking a simpler mix: Royal Yacht and Five Brothers. Near heaven on earth in tobacco form, I think.

Just finished smoking P&W Gramercy Park in a 1975 medium bend sandblasted looking, smooth on the sides yellow Pioneer meer. A bottle of Orange Nehi made with pure cane sugar is my drink.
