Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and am smoking Ken Byron Ventures Mr. Christian’s Brown Flek 2021 in a smooth brown full bend 1984 Peterson Mark Twain military mount egg with a silver cap and tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. In the past two hours, Abner the Eager has changed snooze places four times. Currently, he's on top of my chair.

No smoking yet. I still have hardly any taste and smell. Now on medication for a nephritic colic. I was in the hospital a few days ago, so far not serious. On Tuesday we will have the final results. Here in Spain we say that when a bad streak comes, they all come together. Anyway. I wish you a happy Sunday and God bless you.

Added thought to my last reply to your malaise. I so sympathize. I had what turned out to be an inner ear infection that basically killed my tastebuds. They're not back to full operational status, but it's close enough that I'm now able to taste basic sublteties, but fine nuances . . . . not yet.

Hope you can return to at least this status soon because it still makes smoking a pipe a pleasurable experience. Current medications for the hernia debacle also compound the problem but not to the extent that I can't enjoy. :)

Hang in there!!

Now smoking year 2000 SWRA in a straight smooth 2024 Peterson Red Killarney 264 Canadian with metal accents around the shank and a black acrylic p-lip stem. Harry the Hairy is the only feral who has stayed in. I imagine that all that fur makes this weather tough on the little fella.

Best Laid Plans of Mice and Men . . . . Picnic cancelled, and rescheduled to July 2, which is "Canada Day." So I'll post then what I was going to post today.

Then I got called by the hospital, and made a trip there for "readjustment" of the catheter. Oh Joy, Oh Rapture. The on call surgeon recommended that we continue with the "thing", but wanted the one I had in me replaced. Couldn't argue, because a few problems had developed and the thing wasn't draining properly. So they removed it and replaced it with a new one. That one was also replaced because of some kind of anomaly with the leg bag. This one works but this guy is exhausted. However, the positive is that the meds are working and healing is on the horizon.

Consoled myself with a smoke and catching up on some comments and emoticons. Didn't get all of them but we'll try again, maybe tomorrow.

I took my original "Big Meer"off the rack, biased for Orientals, and primed it with load of Sunday Picnic. All things considered, a great smoke from a great pipe and tobacco combination.

It's actually starting to take on a bit of color in spots, so that made my day. Tough to see in the photo, but it's there! We'll see what tomorrow brings, besides sleeping in to at least noon. :ROFLMAO:

Now smoking year 2023 H&H Viprati in a 2000s brown quarter bend sandblast Pierluigi 140 brandy military mount with a silver cap and a caramel acrylic saddle stem. Had to put Harry the Hairy out because he was bothering Tomato the Brave, who was trying to eat. Harry's been in about a day and a half.

Do you think if I was with them there'd be more musket or clay pipe smoke?

Last smoke of the day is Wilke No. 515 in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This was the original 515 that Basil Rathbone smoked, and the model that he smoked it in. Finished reading baseball box scores so I'm doing other reading while this bowl lasts.

Dear friend Gord. Prayers for you, that your health improves a lot and you can continue to enjoy your tobaccos. This made me think, besides seeing little, and being deaf as a cork bell. I have crushed vertebrae. I was thinking of applying to NASA. They could hire me for some expedition to Mars, and leave me there, as an international observer, I just need some tobacco, I don't usually talk to anyone, a beach chair and an umbrella is enough for me. God bless you my friend Gord.
