I'm smoking and reviewing WC Beta 2 in a 1960s Austrian meerschaum bent apple with a tapered yellow stem. This will be the final product, and I'll let Ernie discuss it when the time comes. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Watching/listening to the Nats-Angels game. I went out, and finally found Daisy the Feral Princess snoozin' in the bushes. I brought her in to eat, and then she wanted out. She's back where she was in a cool place.

Early Morning Pipe in a pipe I made a few years ago - not sure what to call it. Churchwarden stem with a freehand briar with some cool grain and a big bowl. I love this pipe, but I drilled the chamber just a little bit off kilter so the left-hand sidewall ended up too thin. You can see a little discoloration there, and it gets hot right in that spot while smoking. The right-hand side is fine.

Almost a third of the way through this bowl of Wilke Lizzie Blood Virginia in a straight black with a burgundy undertone sandblasted early 1960s Lane era Charatan 420 billiard with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Abner the Eager has been snoozin' under the kitchen table for five hours now.

Now smoking well aged McClelland 5100 in a 1980 Stanwell 668 medium bend with a multi-colored ferrule, half black sandblasted, half brown smooth, rough top with a black vulcanite stem. Haven't smoked this blend or pipe in quite a while.

I didn't realize Lynx were that big! I have a bobcat that comes through the yard every now and then. I always thought they were similar in size...guess not! Cute kitty, tho.
