Starting off my smoking day with a bowl of year 2024 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. M'lady fed all the cats except for the absent Abner the Eager. Ice water and bergs s my drink.

Did a set of walking reps in the awful heat and humidity, and am not far from finishing this bowl of year 2016 D&R Three Sails in a slight bent black pattern etched 1977 Lorenzo Lorsan Sigma level top billiard with a gray swirl acrylic saddle stem. I saw Daisy the Feral Princess under my car when I left the house. Harry the Hairy and Tomato the Brave followed me to the street. As I came down the street on my first lap, I saw Abner the Eager avoiding the other ferals under my neighbor's car. I scooped him up, and brought him in the eat. When I walked up the driveway afer my last lap, I saw Tomato the Brave under my car, and Daisy was on the deck. Harry followed me in.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am a third of the way through this bowl of year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Gold Star Nightwish, neat, is my drink. Have four beta test blends to work on; two WC and two KBV. Going to match them to meers soon.

What a day!!
After posting my prior post, I got busy trimming the tree, and was interrupted by the neighbor that she got a call that Bob and Gracie were seen wandering down the street headed for the desert and the interstate HOLY CRAP, I’d made the cardinal sin of horse ownership and left the gate wide open. Grabbed the wife and leads and halters and took off in the truck- we found that a family (second to last property before state trust land) had happened to be coming home when our horses came down the street and corralled them into their property, thank god!!
I couldn’t imagine losing a dog and both horses on the same day, but that almost happened…

Anyway, mama didn’t kill me, and I learned an important lesson.
The horses are safe, put up and fed, the tree got trimmed, and I finished up with some GH&Co Brown Twist in the J07.
Thankfully this day is over…

Good day all! Started with GL Pease Westminster serving as counterpoint for a tryout of Drucquer Red Lion in an Upshall B Newmarket (Dublin). The latter is a beautifully crafted blend that immediately scores an unreserved "wow" for subtlety, flavor profiles, and all-day smoking goodness. Drucquer's Casbah will be up next - if I can put this pipe down. And I don't think I can.

I called in today, unfortunately it wasn’t just my occasional eye problem (“I” can’t see myself working today)…
We’ve decided after a bad evening that it’s time to let our eldest dog move on her journey.
Finishing up a smoke of Dark Sails in a Ropp J11 before taking her on her last ride.

You've had a couple of Bad Days in Blackrock, and I really get it. I was disoriented for weeks after Ricoh passed, and you're subsequent leaving the gate open was like a number of gaffes i committed en route to recovery.

Sounds like a break could be in order, although that'd be tough in light of your work and family. I usually took a "water break", went down to the Nechako River, and just stared at the moving water. Helped.

Heartfelt sympathies, my friend. Prayers sent. You will overcome. Glad you shared all of this with us.
