Relaxing after a wonderful salad, haddock and sugar snap peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm half way through this bowl of year 2013 Capstan Blue Flake in a straight 1924 Dunhill’s “Shell Briar” patent pot 7 with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Couldn't post before now because I had to monitor feral feeding. Daisy the Feral Princess was laying in the middle of the den, and as soon as I mentioned Tomato the Brave, she got up, and jumped on my lap for the second time today. Her jealousy didn't last long because she wanted to eat again. When she came back to the den, she was not overly pleased to see Tomato on my lap. Tomato wanted out, and when I sat back down, Daisy laid by my feet. Abner the Eager had a long snooze today, and is eating now. Harry the Hairy is outside. I'm watching the Braves-Mets game.

Near the last third of this bowl of year 2020 Peretti Blend W in a 1980 black rusticated rough top Jobey E27 Stromboli extra ball-shaped poker with a pearl green acrylic stem. Abner the Eager went out, and as soon as Harry the Hairy came in, Daisy the Feral Princess wanted out. He's out, now.

Actually had only one pipe this day, and the morning cigar while typing a retro post of the previous evening.

My go-to bent brown Falcon with the meer-lined bowl, dedicated to Backwoods Buttered Rum, my favourite of that breed.

Not a bad smoke indeed, although some jungle mouth vis a vis several break in smokes the past few days, with a couple of newbie pipes. But y'all been there and done that, eh?

I'll save the verbosity for tomorrow. A bit low on energy. :)
And to all, a good night!

Not far from finishing this bowl of year 2018 Sutliff Dunhill Elizabethan Match in a straight smooth brown 1960s-70s BBB Own Make 506 Canadian with a sterling silver band and a tapered black vulcanite stem. Just let Tomato the Brave in to eat. He sure had a happy face when I called to him.

Dropped the backhoe off the tractor this morning (slick system! takes under 5 minutes) and TIL why quick hitches are so popular with new tractors. Eventually hooked up my rotary mower and got some test field mowing in.... OMG what a PITA! On the old Ford 8N, hooking up Category 1 implements.. easy! Tons of swing in the lift arms If you had to make a slight adjustment, you could even put your hand on the rear wheel and roll the tractor a bit one way or the other (on flat ground of course) to make it all fit. I could not believe the challenge. The disconnect, too, required some forceful finagling. I'll be ordering a (SpeeCo I think) quick hitch tomorrow. Will fit my two heavy implements. Two more lighter "vintage" ones won't fit the quick hitches, and one might be too wide to fit the JD at all. (Also on my list, in time, may be rear wheel spacers.) Wife asked how I'm enjoying the new tractor.."LOVE IT" is the short answer. ;)

Looked at this pipe and post, and travelled on. Then came back to it, several times, as this little sucker started to grow on me. And now . . . . 😃 👍👍 YEAH!!

Liked the fawns, too, but they made me hungry and they're out of season. Nicely done pipe photo and tin composition, as well. :)
Thank you, Gord. It's been a favorite from day one, and I'm continuing to be more impressed with it. The birdseye on that side is pretty nice, and is showing more with use. puffy
