Settling into Boswell’s Christmas cookie in my Boswell pipe. I have water and a lime Topo Chico to sip on. I was feeling some bubbles tonight. Sprout is supervising and trying to remind me to keep a slow cadence. I tend to puff on this one more aggressively because it’s so tasty.

17 year old Granger, in an ancient, oil cured, aged, unstained, unvarnished and unpainted Algerian briar Bertram 40 Grade smooth three quarter bent made by veterans who were crippled in military service, within sight of the Capitol complex in Washington D.C.

The man who made this pipe wasn’t a fortunate rich man’s son, you know?

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, chicken legs and sugar snap peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm half way through this bowl of year 2021 Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation Evening Flake in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson Ebony POTY 4AB No. 422/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Earlier, Sleepy Suzy was on the floor licking and bunny kicking the cat nip sock. When she was worn out and snoozin', Abner the Eager came over and did the very same thing. They weren't more than a foot apart, which is a rarity between those two. A few minutes ago, Harry the Hairy did the very same things, and now he's snoozin' on the sock.

Abner the Eager wanted to go out as he's been inside all day. Once he did, he stood there weighing his options due to the rain. He looked up at me, I picked him up, and brought him back in. He's snoozin' on m'lady's chair. Tomato the Brave came in to eat and wanted back out, but he's not known for brains. Daisy the Feral Princess ate, and decided to stay out of the rain. She knows it's always a good idea to do the opposite of what Tomato does.

I find myself unable to rationalize drinking alcohol before 4pm, even on a Sabbath. But once that time arrives, I waste no time, and today was no exception: Mac Baren Virginia Flake in a Peterson Irish Harp 80s sandblasted bulldog, with a glass of white wine. Celebrating the Panthers victory over the Oilers last night, and hoping for three more of the same. 9/10

Bird report: House finch, California towhee, California scrub-jay, American crow, Oak titmouse, Mountain chickadee, Mourning dove, Dark-eyed junco (this straggler is clearly an individualist, staying up here this late into spring), Northern flicker, California quail, White-breasted nuthatch, Western bluebird, Violet-green swallow, and Spotted towhee.

This bowl is dedicated to my great-grandfather Myles, who would be 125 on Tuesday. Oddly, he passed away five years to the day before I was born. 😯

Now, what on earth is a floater? I was wondering if you used a photo-layering technique to do that picture. Enquiring minds want to know.
Its actually just an AI photo editing tool on my phone. Lasso and erase. Just takes a minute.

Sometimes it's more fun than the standard pipe stand pic. As you can see, I'm actually touching the end of the pipe.
