KBV Burley Morning Pipe in a Savinelli Punto Oro Classic Natural 673View attachment 397350

That's a beautiful pipe . . . . if it was in my hands I'd have it charred and ugly by now. That's why I don't buy clear briar anymore, just rusticated. Can't see any charring in the bowl, only what I perceive to be a shadow. What does it look like now? 🙃

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am half way through this bowl of year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Gold Star Peruvian Macchu Picchu, neat, is my drink. Cubs beat the Tigers. Braves-Giants game starts after the top of the hour. Just finished cleaning a couple of meers, and am going to clean the others in a minute or so.

Passing the half way mark of this bowl of Gladora Tobacco Pesse Canoe Latakia Flake 40 in a 1960s Austrian meerschaum bent apple with a tapered yellow stem. Still working on a review of this blend. Aromatic toppings, particularly those made overseas, are the most difficult things to decipher. Watching/listening to the Braves-Giants game.

Well, this is a big day for me. I am thrilled and honored to show the debut of my new Larry Roush Poker pipe that I just received this week.

I have wanted one of Larry's works of art for several months now and knowing how I like the poker shape, he contacted me that he had just finished one and I could have it if I wished. "Heck Yeah!!" was my reply.
I went back and forth on which blend would accompany me on this maiden voyage but finally I settled on some Escudo.

Some of you know that my belief in what is the #1 characteristic of a great smoking pipe is draw. This pipe is arguably the finest drawing pipe I have ever smoked. Not to much, not to little...... It is perfect!!!!

Each of Larry's pipes has it's completion date, maker's name and pipe number. This pipe is number 2,791 and has the hand carved sterling silver band and all of the other Roush trademarks.

Larry is a member of this forum and while I won't divulge his username (I'll respect his privacy) I would encourage any of you that are interested in seeing more of his brilliant works to go to his website:

I couldn't be more pleased!!

Now smoking and reviewing Low Country Pee Dee in a medium bend fumed tan crackled year 2020 Ahmet Govem reverse calabash meerschaum with a military mount silver band and black acrylic stem. Finally got a handle on this blend. It goes on sale this Tuesday at 1 p.m. EST. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Getting ready to watch the broadcast of UFC 316, Merab Dvalishvili vs. Sean O’Malley 2, taking place at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey with our friend, John. Having Cornell & Diehl Small Batch Folklore (2022, 805/1000) in an unbranded, unmarked, Magnum-sized Swan Neck LC (Large Curve) with a horn stem with an orific bit; this pipe is most likely French in origin, and may be from the late 19th or early 20th Century—it is curve/step drilled, has a bone tenon, and a cork mortise.
