We have family coming in this weekend so I was doing some touch-up chores to the place so that we won't be viewed as the "trashy" side of the family..... Actually, chores won't help with that, ha.

During a break, I'm enjoying some Faulkner Flake (VA) from The Country Squire and it is one of my favorite Virginias. I'm having it in my one and only Vauen (model 3501) that I picked up a couple of years ago at the Muletown Pipe show. Good stuff..........

Brought Abner the Eager in to eat, and did a set of walking reps on this beautiful, but very humid day. I'm not far from finishing this bowl of year 2016 D&R Three Sails in a slight bent black pattern etched 1977 Lorenzo Lorsan Sigma level top billiard with a gray swirl acrylic saddle stem. Watching the Red Sox-Angels game. Going to have an off diet day!!

EKG (or whatever or however it's spelled) today, so only time for a morning smoke, the continued break-in of my new Mr.Brog Black Nosewarmer, final dose of Smoker's Pride Whiskey. I really like this tobacco, and have a couple of pipes genre dedicated to this and other aro-codgers of a similar nature, so this stellar smoking little pipe will be genre dedicated to Englishes, which is my favourite afternoon outing smoke, so it will also be the star go-to in my travel kit for a longer smoke - can pull an hour from it with relative ease. Not bad for me. And a very good smoke it was - I'd say my tastebuds, if they actually existed in the first place, are probably functioning at 95%. I've also got 3 candidates for a dedicated pipe for my latest heartthrob, Savinelli 140. I'll announce the decision in the final deciding smoke of the 3, as soon as this hernia nonsense is over, ok?

Some very interesting news in today's Skippable Drivel, right below the picture, including a threat and a challenge to all, especially PaulRVA. See you below.

Skippable Drivel: Okay. IMHO there has been a raft of truly outrageous and ugly pipes posted by many over the past month. I mean, really ugly. At least Paul's contribution to the genre have had an element of monster "cuteness" to them so he's only my inspiration, not the culprit(s) per se. Y'all know who yu r , eh?

I'm to buy 6 more pipes in the coming summer, to complete my collection, as if I need them, cuz I need them like another hole in my head. But I WANT them, which of course, takes precedence.

I'll buy another Sav and Brigham, both probably entry level because the excellence of the expensive, (for me at least) versions I possess deserve a companion.

The other 4 planned pipes are going to be the UGLIEST, MOST OBNOXIOUS LOOKING SMOKING TOOLS I CAN POSSIBLY FIND ONLINE. I don't care where they come from, who makes them, or whatever. Hopefully, you will need a barf bag or a sedative to view the pipes I'll pick up. They will be as tasteless as I can possibly aquire.

Paul, as I mentioned above, is only the inspiration. He's done his job. To the rest of you, I issue you a challenge. To give me inspiration while I recuperate, please continue the barage of ugly pipes, and I promise I will do my very best to join your august company.

Will not try to catch up on the posting - just can't under current conditions. Looking forward to this project. To help inspire you in this task, I repost the incredibly ugly piece of music by the avante composer Edgar Varese, which I actually truly love and admire. Ugliness can be an artform!

Bye for now!

Deservedly relaxing after a wonderful four half pound cheeseburger lunch with unsalted peanuts, a third of a Boston creme pie, a small bowl of French vanilla ice cream, and a golden delicious apple lunch. I'm near the half way point of this bowl of year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Gold Star Peruvian Macchu Picchu, neat, is my drink. Sleepy Suzy sat next to me during lunch. I know she was thinking "Are you really going to eat all of that, bub?"
