Loaded up my go-to Drucquer & Sons Loch Ness by GLP in a Tom Eltang canted Apple with what I call his “dinosaur spine” carving. When I saw the pipe in Chicago I immediately wanted it, but alas when I reached for my wallet I realized I had left it in my hotel room. Tom’s wife Pia, who I had never met before, sweetly said, “Go ahead and take it with you and come back later and settle up. We trust you.” But noticing the long line of Eltang fanatics behind me, I told her to just hold it for 10 minutes and literally ran back up to my room to close the deal. Lol.
June already! I'm kicking this month off with some Riverboat Gambler in my favorite pipe. This blend I first tried last night and loved it, and it's hitting the spot again this morning. May be my new favorite. I was up last night thinking about this smoke.
Starting Sunday morning the best way on can, by having coffee and a pipe. One of the best things about the weekend. Starting my day with an iced mocha and Sutliff Vanilla Royale in my Chacom reverse calabash. Who knew my TobaccoPipes tri-tool would eventually be discontinued.

With our power restored last evening, this morning I'm enjoying some Briar Fox in a Rossi Mezzanotte apple. Coffee.

Although my sense of smell is still almost nil, and it's like the pipe is empty, and I'm smoking hot air, I barely feel the “aroma”, I think at 0000000,1%. I think it's already two weeks of the flu. I have stopped smoking, once I finished the first third. I wish you a happy Sunday.

Just opened a jar of Gawith Best Brown from 2016 that I sealed up in 2017. It's darkening nicely, but still several years away from reaching its pinnacle, in my opinion.
I wanted to give it a try- for science.
I likely won't open another jar from this batch until 2028 or 29.
In the meantime though, I'll enjoy this jar.. in the Radice Silk Cut bent.

Peterson Early Morning Pipe in a Kaywoodie shape 07 billiard. I bought this tin when Peterson reissued the dunhill blends, opened it immediately, smoked one bowl, didn't care for it, and it's been sitting on a shelf ever since. 4 or so years later, I like it more than I did initially, but I greatly prefer Chelsea Morning as my Morning english.
It’s should be an hour - hour 1/2 today for three acres. Afterwords I’ll help a neighbor cut 64 acres of hay since he’s short on help today and is cutting his farm next door. He’s got another 1200 acres throughout the county on multiple farms to cut this week as well so this is an easy one to do. He’s retired and hay & horses are kind of his hobby along with maintaining a dozen or so of his farms.
