Good evening all….First pipe of the day is an after dinner smoke, an old Pete Shamrock filled with an English blend. Wilke 179 . Strong coffee.

Been humid and nasty the past few days, so I was fine with taking a little baccy break. Enjoyed a small bowl of Mac Baren Vanilla Cream (one of my only pre-dried aromatics) in a MM Dagner Poker with a small glass of red wine to end the day. 8.7/10. I'm pleased that all of our planted crops have taken off and are doing well, although I wish the onions would keep up pace...I need salsa, dammit!

Bird report: Mountain chickadee, California scrub-jay, California towhee, House finch (the yellow variant), Hairy woodpecker, American crow, Steller's jay, White-breasted nuthatch, Western bluebird and, at this very moment, some kind of owl.

Tomorrow evening can't come soon enough...
