Today I was honored to join a group of believers from around NE Ohio at the C.S. Lewis Institute (CSLI) in Youngstown to begin the first of a multi-year apologetics and discipleship program.

Tonight, I channel my inner C.S. Lewis. puffy

My Dad gave me this book when I was in high school and I’ll always be grateful. It’s all you really need to know.

Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and am smoking year 2018 Mac Baren Acadian Perique in a straight smooth brown 1933-36 KBB Yello-Bole Honey Cured Briar 2384 Acorn with a tapered yellow rock ambra stem. Fed two ferals, and am off to work now. Listening to the Mets-Angels game.

I feel like I've earnt a couple hours of quietitude and contemplation after a full morning of grocery shopping with my wife in preparation for our older son's visit with his family from Melbourne. This will be their first homecoming trip in almost three years due to the numerous lockdowns imposed because of COVID. To say she is beyond excited is an understatement. ?

So onto a 1st bowl of well-rubbed out 2012 Peter Stokkebye Luxury Twist

In a pipe exactly 100 years older - a 1912 cased Loewe bent billiard, tapered stem with orific bit. Unfortunately missing it's straight billiard companion.

Onto my 2nd bowl - well-rubbed out Former's Straight Grain Flake by Dan Tobacco.

In a 1913 Loewe Straight billiard, tapered vulcanite stem with orific bit.
The stem is a replacement made by Mike Billington of Blakemar Pipes.

It fits the empty slot in the case with this unsmoked 1922 Loewe Bent billiard, like it was made for it, fortuitously.

Now smoking year 2017 Esoterica Dorchester in a straight smooth brown 1920s KBB Rocky Briar 1582 patent no.298978 with a B in a circle bulldog with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Still working and listening to Nightbeat on the XM.

Earlier today was Granger, well dried-out this time and whatever mouth irritation I normally get was greatly subdued - not tongue bite, just a mild irritation to the inside of my cheeks and roof of mouth.
Anyway, I'm hoping over time it stops because I really enjoy it - great stuff.

Now smoking something a little more fancy..

..Pegasus.

In my Peterson 106.
