I think the convention is bulldog = diamond shank and Rhodesian = round shank so this one could go either way with a hex shank. Jesse called it a hex shank rhodie so that’s what I go with.

My first time with an Astley’s Root Briar pipes. According to the catalog they were hand carved from the root. Lady I purchased it from said there were 2 pipes from the same era 1930’s-1950’s her husband had purchased in England at Astley’s. This is all I got, and am smoking SG’s Skiff Mixture in celebration.
