Sail Regular in a pre-Cadogan GBD De Luxe full bent, reading Ehwa's classic Book of Pipes & Tobacco. Old guy, old pipe, old book, old tobacco. I'm good with all of that.

Yeah, I'd heard from old what's-her-name that sci-fi's bad boy had assumed room temperature, Jim. One cranky SOB to know, but a true icon & icono*clast* in a world with dang few of them left. S'long, Harlan.

Now smoking HH Acadian Perique in my #2 Iron Horse stack. Not bad at all for this lataholic. Subtle, but rich. Best VaPer style I've tried.

PS LTF in an old estate cob, that's right, an estate cob, one of two identical, unknown mfr. that smoke VA's like a dream.

These are straight shanked, 5/8 dia. chamber (a tad small, but worth the effort) well cured poker shaped, w/lucite stems. When I started smoking a pipe about 4 yrs ago, I bought two different 'lots' on ebay. Both 'lots' were for less than 10 bucks.

I'm still smoking most of the 8 or 9 pipes I got back then. In the 'lot' of cobs, one actually turned out to be African meer that only LOOKED like a cob. It was this Kiko score that got my bargain hunter's mindset going on estate pipe acquisitions.

Now, I must admit, I should have stopped after those first two buys, but, I've really enjoyed amassing way too many pipes.
