I just mixed up a small batch consisting of C&D Cavendish Cut Burley, C&D Dark Burly, McClelland's perique and a dash of Mc's Lat. I'm letting it rest for an hour before I smoke some, but the first tin notes are unlike anything I've smelled in a blend thus far.
Sort of a rotting (water based?) glue. It's dissipating. I am trying to pinpoint where I've smelled that odor, cuz,, it sure ain't an aroma. Taking apart 1950's era golf balls? Old rotting wet sneakers?
(sneakers are what we now refer to as athletic shoes, for you millennials, or other misbegotten (not a boomer) generation.) I'll use something in a meer to try it first.
