Just started up my first encounter with D&R Three Sails. I haven’t had much luck with shag-cut blends in the past but I packed it nice and tight and will see how cool the Vauen Patina can keep it while driving with windows down.
Poor Walt ... thanks to Reggie, not only is his paperwork all over the floor, but so is his pipe. His well-packed tobacco is now scattered also. Hmm ... I can't make out if this is a Savinelli, a Sasieni, an Edwards (???).

Just finished smoking C&D Sun Bear Navy Cask 2025 (Small Batch) in a 1986 three quarter bend Bacchus face CAO meer with a tapered dark tortoise shell colored acrylic stem. Need to smoke more for the review.
Now smoking year 2014 Dan Tobacco Hamborger Veermaster in a smooth straight brown 1950 Dunhill 48 bulldog group 4 root briar with a black vulcanite fish tail saddle stem.
You might want to get a wind cap for that if driving with windows down. Might help not get too hot.

That’s good advice. I always have one when packing a pipe for the car just in case; however, I didn’t end up needing it today. After initially stoking to temperatures comparable to those experienced on spacecraft re-entry, I gave it a brief rest and worked it gently after that to a pretty enjoyable level. Good flavor and well-behaved for the rest of the bowl
