Cherry flavoured break from smoking Today. Took out a spare
MM chompable Minicob (have a few in storage 'cause I give a lot away) and put in a loadful of
Bengal Slices, and had it's break-in smoke while surfin' the thread. Cobs don't need nearly the break-in as regular pipes so the smoke was actually pretty good. And, as usual, I'm chomping on that
Phillies Blunt (Chocolate rather than grape or cherry) in the photo as I type. After last night and what's coming up, I think I'll be laying of Cherry Anything for a bit . . . . see
Skippable Drivel for the update.
Skippable Drivel: Last night I managed to pit and de-stem all the real cherries I picked yesterday (took me 'till 1:00 AM), and am taking a break after Mass this morning to post a bit, and relax before I freeze the cherries. (I'll get about 6 good packets). Then I'll go out and pick at least 2 quarts of Saskatoons this afternoon that are hanging from one of the six bushes I have. Then more cherries from another varietal that'll be ready probably day after tomorrow. Then 2 more varietals of Saskatoons and one further tree of cherries. Bumper crops this year. Then apples, grapes, and crab apples in about a month.
Quite enjoyable actually. Haven't done this for years - have always had others offer to pick and process them in return for giving me what I wanted for the season, and in return for the smoked fish and frozen rabbits they usually wheedle from me. They're all on holidays right now so I'm doing the solo farming gig, at least for a week until the then battle scarred, relative-visiting rabble returns.
By then I'll need to go fishing to get away from the rabble and get some peace and quiet, and the cycle will go on and on until it doesn't.

Such is life, eh?
Can tell you for certain, though, that i've lost my interest in cherry flavoured tobacco and cigars for a while, anyway! Hence the new minicob for Lats.
