A third of a bowl left of year 2014 FVF in a straight smooth brown year 1923 Dunhill A billiard 60 patent March 9.15 with a tapered black vulcanite stem. This pipe is from the estate of David Cuneo. Had a fun chat with a good friend. Only had one feral incident so far. Tomato the Brave was going to the kitchen when Harry the Hairy pounced on his tail. Tomato turned around gave Harry a "Go play in a forest fire" look, and walked away. When Tomato came back to the den, Harry was hiding from him and was ready to pounce. I put a stop to that. I know Harry was just wanting to play, but he doesn't realize that Tomato doesn't, and Harry doesn't understand why. Harry looked at me with an innocent look, and I gave him some attention so he'd feel wanted.

Returned yesterday from a five day camping trip. Birthday was Wednesday, and always like to take a trip off grid for it when I can. I thought I'd post a few pics of the last few smokes and locale.

I believe this was The Beast in a Savinelli Punto Oro Gold billiard.

Birthday cigar. Not current on the cigar lingo, but it was a tasty H. Upmann!

Thank you, sir. I have several pipes from this region and almost all are exceptional in quality -- not to mention value -- and smoke perfectly. One of them, an HS Studio pipe, was particularly large and well-made. A year after purchase i noted the same pipe listed as a C-pipe for many times what i paid for mine ($250ish). Prices only go up, as they say. Glad i got them when i did.

Just popped an 8oz tin of GL Pease Jack Knife from 2013 and have to give it a go before i have to go. Visiting family for dinner. But first: out comes the Radice to see how this has aged...

I haven’t smoked the ready rubbed but I went through a tin of plug with over 10 years of age and it was fantastic. The dark fired had lost most of its sharpness and the whole blend was deeper, sweeter, and earthy. Enjoy.

Great pictures, Paul. Looks like a great place to beat the summer heat.
It’s a quiet beach, all private homes & condos so less people.
When I was stationed near there in the Tidewater area over 30 years ago it was my go to beach to surf and it was pretty unknown except for that crowd. Water temps though were perfect today.

That is surely a beautiful pipe. Incredible grain! **** How does it compare in smoking quality to the Savinelli Bing? I'd imagine both are stellar.
They’re fantastic. Nuttens kicks out some great Bing’s that really do draft and balance well. That one is a B3 they’re graded 1-4 and you really can’t pay that much attention to the ratings as some 3’s beat the 4’s depending on the pipe. He offers Vulcanite and Acrylics and Silver or Copper Bands.
