Up early for the morning ferry to a neighboring island where a friend had a crank up antenna tower for me which was now surplus to his requirements. Got it back home, plan to put it up next year (still some negotiating to do for exact location with planning dept aka she who must be obeyed) ;)

I really enjoyed the Maduro a lot, but I actually enjoyed the Natural 3000 better. Both of them were amazing but the Natural was a little a more laid back which I think I preferred.
I haven’t tried a Padron in the natural wrapper. I loved the 1964 Anniversary maduro. Is there one you would suggest to try the natural wrapper?

Well I've only just started to smoke cigars and haven't had but a hand full so far. The Padrons I had were the Maduro 3000 and the Natural 3000. Both were amazing. I've had a Warped Cloud Hopper no.53 which was great. And an ADVentura Blue Eyed Jacks Revenge which I didn't like at all. Probably be a couple weeks before I get anymore to try, but I'll look for a 1964 Anniversary Maduro. It's the highlight of my weekend I look forward to all week. Ive been trying to order a couple cigars a week.

Just finished smoking Wilke Back Bay w/o perique in a 1980 black sandblasted full bent Ascorti Business Extension Saxaphone with a thin gold band accent and black acrylic saddle stem. It's been years since I smoked this pipe, so it was way past time to do so. Going to feed the ferals now.

I took it as a simple distillation of a very loquacious post the inferences of which were open to subjective interpretation, but that’s just me.

Anyhow, I’m off to the patio for some 2018 SG Kendal Plug in a very special and appreciated Roush pot.

Thanks for the interpretation — though I’d gently point out that my original post made no judgments, comparisons, or evaluations, neither of blends nor of producers. So if it sparked certain associations, those arose entirely on the reader’s end. As you rightly said: that’s just you.

A third of the way through this bowl of year 2012 Butera Pelican in a 1970s slight bend black sandblasted English Rustic 120S Billiard (Comoy’s second) with a black vulcanite saddle stem. This pipe originally belonged to my college art mentor, the late professor Walter Barker. This will get me to dinner time. Daisy the Feral Princess wasn't hungry, but Tomato the Brave and Harry the Hairy sure were. Still no Abner the Eager. Going to clean a few pipes as I watch the Orioles-Rays game that I recorded.

This is an interesting looking pipe, Jim. I don't know if you are a "clencher" or not, but does this pipe hang or rest comfortably in your mouth?? The angle of the bowl/shank appears to be in contrast with the angle of the mouthpiece. Maybe it's just me.....

Firing up a home mix in a Rattrays Olive Wood.

For anyone interested: This is a follow-up mix to another, i call "Mars Orbiter," since both feature a base of Red Va i invoked the name of the red planet for obvious reasons. The first one, just mentioned is a medium blend of Va and a touch of burley with a decent portion of granulated perique. The one i am currently indulging in is a bit more complex with a touch more body and is comprised of Va, unsweetened burley cavendish, white and dark burley, perique and a touch of kentucky. Hence, it seemed appropriate that the bolder of the two would be the "lander." That's the thought process. Judging by the fact i keep reaching for this one, i'm thinking i prefer it to the former mix.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, chicken legs and sugar snap peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm smoking and writing beta notes about this bowl of KBV Burley Morning Pipe beta test in a 2002 IMP smooth full bend egg shaped meer with a black acrylic saddle stem. It's too humid for coffee, so ice water and bergs is my drink. Another evening, another thunderstorm. Got the ferals in except for the absent Abner the Eager. Hope we avoid getting hit by lightning.
