Returned yesterday from a five day camping trip. Birthday was Wednesday, and always like to take a trip off grid for it when I can. I thought I'd post a few pics of the last few smokes and locale.

I believe this was The Beast in a Savinelli Punto Oro Gold billiard.

I love Padrons when I want Nicaraguan flavor. The Maduros don’t age well for me, they lose the richness. Just means I have to go the shop when I want one! Enjoy.
I really enjoyed the Maduro a lot, but I actually enjoyed the Natural 3000 better. Both of them were amazing but the Natural was a little a more laid back which I think I preferred.

Currently smoking nothing due to a bout of Lyme Disease. Luckily caught in time for a 21-day antibiotic that should take care of it. I always do extensive checks, wear long pants and sleeves in the woods or field, even in hot weather and managed to make it decades without incident. Not sure how the insidious no-eye creature got me. All I can think is that it got on my clothes and crawled out of the hamper and across the house, lurking, in the dead of night, in search of its sacrifice. I would have caught it sooner, but it was on my head and apparently survived several showers. I do not wish this on anyone. I have gone from 185 lbs. to 175 lbs. in just one week and can barely walk to go check on the tomato plants without feeling like I a going to faint. Suffice it to say, I can only look at my pipes in the rack for now and re-join the gang in about 4-5 weeks or so. I am only posting this as to provide a PSA to hopefully warn others.

Glad you caught it early! This can be a lifetime of issues that i'm hoping you are able to avoid. Best of luck on the recovery.

That looks like a perfect birthday trip to me. Happy belated!

It was bound to happen........
One of our young pit bulls looks to have taken up cigars!
Such a nasty habit...............

Actually, it's a non-rawhide chew stick. ;)

Like Sir Winston, the cigar suits him. Nice to have a smoking buddy handy, no travel or special hosting set-up necessary. :)

Continuing the relaxation campaign in the smoking lounge this fine afternoon with some Jupiter Slices in a Muxiang.

Now smoking first production Seattle Pipe Club Virginia Jazz in a smooth medium brown medium bend 1950s B.B.B. Own Make 307 apple with a sterling silver band and black vulcanite saddle stem. Fed Tomato the Brave, and ever since he finished, he's been extra hyper. He bit both of my feet, the catnip sock, other cat nip toys, and his favorite blanket. Then, he jumped and down on the blanket, went over to the sock, jumped up and down on it, and then came over to me, jumped on my left foot, bit it, and took off to wrestle the blanket. Maybe he's in training to wrestle in the WWE? Harry the Hairy is staring at him wondering what the boy's problem is. Daisy the Feral Princess went to a corner of the room so she could get back to snoozin'. She knows that Tomato is one messed up dude.

What an entertaining fellow Tomato is! And so are your cat stories. Thank you!
