Now smoking Watch City Jim’s Golden Ticket in a straight smooth brown mid-late 60s Corporate Era Barling 5579 London England (made by Charatan) lumberman with a black vulcanite double comfort stem. This pipe is from the estate of David Cuneo. it won't be too long before it goes on sale.

Now that you say so, I recognize Watterson's lettering. I knew I'd be a cartoonist when I was in kindergarten. Just wish I had great like Bill Watterson.
It's awesome that you made it, it is a very limited field and very competitive. I still followed it for years and love the art form. I continued to pursue the arts (though not anymore), but left the cartooning world to those more suited to it. I still think Watterson was the apex of the craft.

I agree. I'll tell you a story about it. Back in the 1980s-early 90s, I did a radio talk show. One day I was complaining off air to my partner Dan about Calvin and Hobbes not being in our local newspaper. Dan suggested that we talk about it on the air, so we did. The comics editor for the paper called in after hearing what I and a few other callers who knew the strip had to say. He was impressed by the reaction to Calvin and Hobbes (he never heard of it), and promised to look in it. Three weeks later, C&H was in our newspaper, dailies and Sundays, and stayed there until Watterson retired.

A third of a bowl left of year 2015 D&R A.B. Rimboche in an undated slight bend, smooth flame grain Wessex Standard egg with a brown accent on the black vulcanite saddle stem. Getting ready to clean a few pipes. The Braves-Cards game is in its third rain delay.
