Long day at work but celebrated the middle of the week with a cigar. Tonight was the San Cristobal Elegancia. I finished book 4 of Dungeon Crawler Carl while enjoying it.
Maybe it’s just me, but I keep gravitating toward pipes with conical chambers. The draw feels smoother, the flavor stays deeper all the way through the bowl, and the burn seems more controlled — looser at the rim, denser toward the heel. Whatever the reason, I tend to reach for them again and again. I have a theory — unscientific, but intuitive — that the narrowing shape slightly concentrates airflow and heat as the ember descends, kind of like a slow, mellow Venturi effect. It might all be in my head, but the smoking experience feels more cohesive and flavorful. Curious if anyone else shares the same impression?
Nice kitty kittyThat’s a big kitty. I hope he never STOPS liking you.![]()

That's a beautiful pipe with a simple, yet surprisingly elegant, shape. I love that it has a story, and obvious sentimental value as well.Did a little low calorie snacking, and am at the half way mark of his bowl of year 2012 Butera Pelican in a 1970s slight bend black sandblasted English Rustic 120S Billiard (Comoy’s second) with a black vulcanite saddle stem. This pipe originally belonged to my college art mentor, the late professor Walter Barker. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
